And a bonus letter
It has taken me a while to work out exactly what I want to write and some interesting things have happened since I last wrote to you.
I suppose first off I should say that there is no need for me to run away from your replacement. He might be very enthusiastic in his work but he is easier to deal with on field than you were. After work we actually get along quite well and at the moment he is one of the people I speak to most. Sid and I are not getting along well right now. I worry that we will forget how to make up and get along soon. Thinking of Sid he does not much care for your replacement, take anything he has to say about him with a grain of salt.
Our new recruit is learning slowly but surely. He still does some really stupid things but I know first hand that it can take years before you start getting really competent at the job and you never truely stop making stupid mistakes, I think I am a good example of that.
On a more possitive note I am glad that you are doing well out there. It seems like you and Nanette are getting along rather well. As for what to do about funding her I honestly couldn't say I don't know enough about her or about business in general to be of any use.
Another thing you might be interested to know is that my empoyers have decided to change which team I am on. If you were still here we would be co-workers rather than rivals. This is going to cause a lot of confusion during work hours, I just know it. Out of habit I will always find myself going in the wrong direction.
I hope your friends are all fine and things are still going well out there and tell Nanette thank you for the biscuits and that the scarf is quite warm.
