It has been hard to work out exactly what I should write so I suppose I'll keep things short. Once you update me on how things are going out there writing something longer should be easier. I do hope it has worked out well for you over there
I still think it's not entirely right without you around and your side hasn't been doing as well as it should, there are just not enough people to do the work. Your replacement has proven to be quite competent so far he has several years of experience in the job and I have seen him do some good work on the field. The only downside is that he reminds me of you in some of the worst possible ways when he is working.
We have a new guy and he seemed like a rather hopeless case when he first arrived. They didn't give him a single bit of training and he did not how to work any of the equipment he is supposed to use. Thankfully I know plenty about the work he is supposed to be doing so I have been able to offer some guidance. I like trying to think up plans and suggestions so it has been good for keeping me busy. It's not quite evenings drinking teaor time in the shelter but it does nicely.
Sid has also come back to work. He was sorry that he missed you leaving so he probably will write to you if he hasn't already.
Other than that I'm not sure what to say so I will leave it there.
Take care of yourself.
-Hugh
